Terms
Last updated 12 September 2026
Who this is between
These terms are between you, the tradesperson using Trade Slip, and Trade Slip itself, run from the United Kingdom (“we”). The quickest way to reach us is hello@tradeslipapp.com. Trade Slip is for people using it in the course of their trade or business.
Your customers never agree to these terms and never need an account. What they agree to is your quote.
What Trade Slip does
It lets you write a quote, send it to your customer as a link, and record their acceptance: the name they type, the time, their network address, and exactly what the quote said when they accepted. It makes a PDF of every quote and keeps a list of your jobs.
It is not a party to your agreement with your customer. The quote, the price, the work and whether an acceptance forms a contract are between you and them. The acceptance record is good evidence of what was accepted and when, but we do not give legal advice and cannot promise how it would be treated in a dispute.
Deposits are never ours
Trade Slip never takes, holds, routes or sees your customers' money. The payment link or bank details on your quote are yours, and any payment goes from your customer straight to you. Your arrangement with whichever payment provider you use is between you and them. “Deposit received” in Trade Slip is a note you make, not a record of a payment.
Your account
You sign in with a link emailed to you, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account secure, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has got in. An account is for one business.
What you put in
Your quotes, prices, logo and terms are yours, and you give us permission to store and show them only to run Trade Slip for you. You are responsible for what your quotes say — the prices, the terms, and only charging VAT if you are VAT registered — and for having the right to put your customers' details in.
Your customers' details
For the details you enter about your customers, you decide what is collected and why, and we handle them on your behalf. So that this meets UK data protection law, we agree to:
- use them only to provide Trade Slip to you — to show, send and record your quotes — and on your instructions;
- make sure anyone who can access them is bound to keep them confidential;
- keep them secure, and tell you without undue delay if they are ever lost, altered or seen by someone who should not;
- use only the suppliers named in our privacy policy (Cloudflare and Resend), give you notice before adding another, and hold them to the same standard;
- help you answer a customer who asks to see, correct or delete their details;
- delete them when you delete the quote or your account, after giving you the chance to download them;
- give you the information you reasonably need to show that these promises are kept.
What you may not do
- send quotes that are not genuine, or use Trade Slip to deceive anyone;
- use it to send unwanted messages to people who have not asked for a quote;
- put in anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to use;
- try to get into accounts, quotes or systems that are not yours, or disrupt the service.
If you do, we may suspend or close your account, telling you why unless the law or safety stops us.
What this costs
Trade Slip is free, and nothing in it is held back. If we ever add paid options, they will be for new things. Nothing that is free now will become paid.
You can choose to support it with a subscription of £9 a month plus VAT. It buys nothing extra.
- Onelink sells the subscription and takes the payment through Stripe. They add VAT at checkout at the rate for your country, and the invoice is theirs.
- The charge will say shippedin12months, the account Trade Slip shares with its sister apps, not “Trade Slip”.
- You can cancel any time, from the link in your receipt email or from settings. It ends at the close of the period you have already paid for, and nothing about your account changes.
Keeping it running
We work to keep Trade Slip available and your quotes safe, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Download the PDF of any quote you would need if Trade Slip were unavailable — especially accepted ones. We may improve or change features. If we ever close Trade Slip, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to download everything.
If something goes wrong
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Otherwise, we are not responsible for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or any other indirect or consequential loss, however it arises. Because Trade Slip is free to use, our total responsibility for any other loss is limited to what you have paid us in the 12 months before the problem — which, if you are on the free plan, is nothing.
Ending it
You can stop using Trade Slip and delete your account at any time from settings. Deleting it removes your quotes and your customers' details, and links you have sent stop working, so download what you need first.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies. If you do not want to carry on under the new terms, you can delete your account before then.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
